String Similarity

Possibly an inane question but I'm SICK of replacing entire sets of strings when the E goes dead (on a 4-string). Dunlop Marcus Miller Stainless are one of my faves, but I can't find single strings for sale in this line. DOes anyone know which of the following are the most similar to the MM Steels? It appears my options are as shown below. Any ideas??
D'Addario Pro Steel
DR Hi Beams
Ernie Ball Steel
Several GHS models
LaBella Hard Rockin Steels
RotoSound Swing Bass 66
SIT Power Core Steel

Dunlop does not have any of their strings readily available as singles.

That said, I inquired about it a few years ago and was told they could be special ordered through an authorized dealer as long as I was willing to order six of the same strings at a time.

Are you based in the US? If so, I would suggest you get in touch with Jason at Fret Nation at [email protected] and ask him about special ordering Dunlop Marcus Miller E strings. That's who I usually deal with for ordering singles and custom sets.

Great info, thanks!! I will email him. I emailed Dunlop and they only sell singles in bulk.

Well, I just ordered the Rotosounds. 0.35 and a 0.105. We shall see what happens.... Thanks for your input everyone.

MMBONGO - Jason has your strings - he said go ahead and contact him. Unfortunately he can't get the Dunlop MM Steels in singles.
