does anyone know the string spacing of this http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dean-Edge-5-5String-Bass?sku=519803 and could you tell me how to figure out string spacing?

string spacing!?!

My naked eye says it's ~18mm, which is pretty standard. I happen to like my spacing on 5er to be tighter. You do know it's a 35" scale, no? It'll be a bit more of a stretch if you are a one-finger-per-fret guy.

yeah take my advice. dont get it. i have the same bass and trust me its great at first just due to the feeling of a new bass but after that youll realize that it is really much harder to play than most basses youll get. unless you use a pick
i already have it,im just changing the bridge,slap/pop is obviously difficult but ive adjusted,so i just need to know the spacing
Since you actually have the bass in hand, you'll probably get the most accurate answer by just measuring it yourself.
The simplest way to do that is to measure from the center of the B string to the center of the G string and divide by 4.

Whichever you prefer. Millimeters seems to be most common these days, but it's not hard to convert from one to the other.
