Of all the flats i have used Chromes have the best overall feel and playablity. I have a love/hate relationship with TI JF. Love the tone and the tension is ok but they fart out when i dig in past the 5th fret. Since i spend allot of time on the upper area of the fretboard i gave up trying to tame my hands and went back to chromes. Both are great strings but if you give those Chromes some time to break in i think you will fall in love with them feel and tone wise.

GHS Precision flats are pretty light tension, and are much cheaper than the TIs. I think they sound better, too.

I have used the ghs boomers, round wounds, .40-.95s for a while....before that I was using rotos 45-105s

the ghs boomers were an improvement for ease of playability, tension wise and other, over the rotos

i haved tried the Ernie Ball 40-95 slinky's.. the strings are way floppy... easy to play though... but soon changing the medium flats

anyways OT.. Chromes have way much tension than the TI's or if you want a tighter set up.. the action should be a bit higher than the Chromes

Yeah, I've been switching back and forth a lot lately and the Chromes have noticeably more tension.
