I put some flats (Labella DeepTalkin) on a bass that has an NP4 in, and the change from the D'Aadario bulk rounds was insane. I have this bass for sale on my local CL, but it's really make me second guess getting rid of it! After playing it for any amount of time, my new MIA sounds AWFUL with the CS60.
That said, if I were to hang on to this bass, can anyone recommend some strings that would sound even better than the Labellas? I might snag some chromes if I can't think of anything else. I guess I am wondering if anyone else has/had these pickups and found a really good set of strings to pair them with?!
BONUS: What strings should/could I throw on my MIA with the CS60 to make it not sound so weird. It doesn't sound clear at all compared to the NP4.
