Hello
I recently purchased an Eminence upright and I’m looking for string recommendations. What are you guys using? I am new to upright and looking for general purpose (meaning good for both arco and pizz).
I think I would prefer a set with medium to low tension, something a little on the softer side feel wise if that makes sense.
Thanks in advance
Tom

I’ve got two complete sets of used strings (Corelli 370M & Evah Pirazzi Slaps) that would be good chooses for your Eminence upright as I used these strings on my Kolstein travel bass (very similar concept to the Eminence bass)

For Sale - Thomastik, Evah Slap set, Corelli set,

I played both arco and pizz with these strings and had good results. Both sets are lower tension.

In this video I playing my Kolstein bass (with Evah Pirazzi Slap strings) in the black and white clips.

Coming from electric bass, it’s quite the change on so may levels I have a teacher I just started with. Anyway, I do favor a clear, more modern tone. I like the edge of say Stanley Clarke’s upright tone, along those lines.
