Strings for Fender RBV

Hi there.I would like to know what strings do you put on your RBV basses?
I did read that Roscoe Beck used La Bella Hard rocking steel ones but they are discontinued and supposedly have to have some other string similar to them,i mean in La Bella site but if course every other brand and model suggested by you would be appreciated.
