I just purchased a used palatino and don't care for the steel strings. I will be using it part of the time for swinging blues and rockabilly. I would like strings for pizz and slapping. Any suggestions?
Spiro 4/4 Solo or Obligato Solo perhaps if you want to bow also.
Typical strings for plucking old school and folk oriented stuff are nylon wounds like Eurosonic, Innovation Super Silvers or Silver or Golden Slaps, maybe their Rockabilly strings. Gut strings might be a bit expensive for a Palatino.
But I'm not sure if a Palatino would be a good instrument to play Rockabilly.
