Strings for Reverend Mercalli 5?

Hi all — I’m new to the forum, so I hope I’m posting this in the right place.

Does anyone have string recommendations for the Reverend Mercalli 5? I’ve tried the stock set, Dunlop Nickelwound 50–130, La Bella Olinto signature strings, La Bella Super Polished, and DR Pure Blues 45–125. The G, D, and A strings all sound great, but the E and B always seem a bit weak to me. Curious what others are using — gauges, steel vs. nickel, different brands?

The best result yet for me was with the La Bella Superpolished, with the B string thru body. It had a 125 B i think. The 130 B from dunlop was super floppy and no output. Do you use steel strings, or nickel?
I am also really digging La Bella Super polished on my Merc 5. I am strung thru bridge only as the Merc 5 I have was modded when I picked it up with a Hipshot Type A bridge.

The strings I am referring to are Rotosound Swing 66 45-130, stainless on an active bass. I can't remember the 125 and maybe 120 i tried but they were anemic to me. The rotos is not floppy.
