Double Bass Strings for slap/pizz

My newby jazz friend needs 50/50 slap/pizz strings for magnetic pu,
What kind?

Lots of the rockabilly players tell me they're using Thomastik Superflexible Solo gauge (tuned standard pitch) and they work well; they have a more metallic "click" and the ropecore is more flexible for slapstyle than the spiral-wound Spirocores (but still works with the mag pickup). Getting the solos gives a little less tension for slap, so you don't lose a finger - but still has enough tension to play pizz effectively.

Mark, I read this as Superflexibles have better feel for slap but that Spirocores might have a more pleasing "click". Is that what you meant?
