Strings long enough for a string thru body

I recently bought a 6 string with a string thru bridge but when i went to string my bass with 6 string long scale slinkys they were a tad short so i had to string them thru bridge and not the body :/. anyone know of some strings i should check out?

You are most likely going to need some Extra Long Scale (or Super Long Scale depending on manufacturer wording) strings.

What is the scale length of the bass? What were the specific strings you tried?

I am guessing they were the Ernie Ball P02838... They only have one Nickel Slinky 6 string set... Those are Long Scale.

There are some Long scale strings that will fit a 35" scale bass. But that is not including the string through body.
