With the discontinuation of Rotosound's 99 strings, is there another exposed core option for a long bridge-tailpiece distance? I play a Rickenbacker and a VP Thunderbird, and both would require about 3" of core. Even the La Bella Super Steps would fall just slightly short. The only other option I'm aware of is DR's Long Necks, but I'd prefer a core-only ideally.
