I like to play some pretty low stuff. I w
The misconception is that the fatter strings ... ie low B and low F# will put more strain on the neck and they don't.

The one thing you will need to do is make a new nut for the fatter strings.

But wouldn't they because heavier gauge strings naturally produce lower sounds so you need to tighten the strings more to tune it therefore putting more tension on the neck.
