Struggling to correct my technique

Huge improvement over the earlier photo. You're doing great! I like what you're doing with your thumb. Your palm looks smooth and relaxed. My three comments:
  1. Your fingertips are turning white from lack of circulation. Maybe you're squeezing too hard?
  2. If you flattened out your fingers (less arched) that would allow you to drop your palm, so there is more empty space between your palm and the neck. Flattening your fingers would also have the benefit of, you can use your left hand fingers to mute the unplayed strings.
  3. Are you using a strap for support? You should be able to remove your left hand from the neck, and the neck stays in the same position.
