This is the first and only digital tape delay pedal that I know people are ditching their Fulltone Tube Tape Echos and Roland RE-201s for!!!

And I am sure it is half of the price of a tape echo as well, I am really on the fence about this, while is does sound amazing and lush I still want to hear how it handles bass.

Why wouldn't it handle bass? It's a modulation/delay effect, and a seemingly very well designed one at that.

I think the question you may be actually asking is "Does it sound analog?" Well, I imagine at least a few people will be on the pre-set position of "No, it cannot and it never will." I think it deserves a fair shot. That processing chip is indeed extremely powerful, and if the algorithm is executed properly, it will sound amazing, regardless of it sounding "analog" or not.

I wonder how it handles bass also, specifically I wonder how tape crinkle, flutter and wow emulations sound on bass. They sound amazing on the guitar and synth clips on the website but I wonder how lower frequencies might sound different ran through the same processes. Eric! will show us on monday maybe

Nice, thanks for the demo Eric! So it's a little hard to tell from the video, but how do you like the crud emulators? Stuff like tape crinkle etc, are they useful or not, or beyond useful do they sound cool on bass?

See, I don't really dig "delay modeling", and those extra bits just seem like tweaks to the echos. Which kinda reminds me of the DL4 (not comparing them, just saying). The tape age and wow&flutter were noticable enough to matter, and the tape bias and low end contour are sweet. Wasn't really feeling the tape crinkle. The reverb and boost/cut are also very nice! It's a box of delayawesome. Very tapey, I'm sure
