Thanks so much guys, it makes me happy that you are into what I do!
This will be rather brief, as i'm typing on my iPod after a gig in switzerland, but yeah, mp201 is the wobble creator for filter stuff, and the speed is controlled by the foot pedal. It isn't tempo locked, I just found some magic settings and worked on riding the speed so it seems in time.
I am going to program some more wobbles, and at some point will probably try some midi sync stuff... But for now it is pretty organic.
Alright.
Tschuüs,
John
that's all i needed to hear. fantastic! my keyboardist and drummer are already MIDI-synced, so i'll be working on finding a setting capable of running off the Ableton clock. Thanks for the info!

If you have a good interface... should work out I'd hope, but if you have a crappy USB-MIDI interface like myself (mbox2), you may well find the latency to be unusable for many things.. i sure do.
Syncing to hardware is another story, rock solid timing in my experience, but as I've found, Ableton is definitely not know for its timing, neither are DAW's in general.. Anyway, something to think about. A firewire interface is high on my list of things to get, and hopefully that alone will solve the issue to a usable level.
latency shouldn't be an issue if all you're talking about is midi clock sync... but if all it's doing is spitting out clock for an lfo to be locked to a click, ableton live should be totally solid...
but as i said before, i haven't done anything with sync, it's just manual/luck...
as far as gigs go, it's looking like we'll be at Le Poisson Rouge on May 16th... not 100% confirmed yet, but should be soon.... also will most likely have some more regular gigs in nyc this summer. we're focusing on the party in the usa this year.
