Sub Mixer Setup

I have a Yamaha 4 XLR board that I would like to use as a sub-mixer for our drummer. It would run into my main mixer which is a Behringer RX1202FX. I would rather have a nicer mixer with more XLR inputs but I am trying to make due with what I have.

Any suggestions on setting up a sub-mixer for live sound? I know some people do this and some others say not too because of ground looping.

Put the main L/R outputs from the drum mixer into the line level inputs of either channel 9/10 or 11/12. The yamaha main outs are balanced on TRS jacks, and the line inputs on the Behringer are also balanced TRS, so use 2 1/4" TRS cables and you're good to go.
