Sub 'n' Up question

I just got the Sub 'n' Up and really like it. I'm pretty sure that you can at least get close to the sound you're interested in. Funny you're comparing these two pedals as the other day I was at a friend's rehearsal room and checked out the bass player's rig. I fiddled around for a few minutes with his Octamizer but was under-whelmed. Before I got the S'n'U I was also looking at the Octamizer but I don't think it's anywhere near as versatile IMHE. But I'm an old school OC-2 guy so that could have something to do with it. FWIW, if you can swing it, why not just start collecting octave pedals? They're all some what similar but in some ways all so different. The 3 Leaf Octavbre is on my list as is a MarkBass octaver [discontinued], which is basically an OC-2 clone, and, maybe some day an EBS octaver as well. But, for the moment, I'm thinking the S'n'U was a good place to start. Switching from the Poly setting to the TonePrint setting [I use the Smooth Bass preset] to the Classic, which is their interpretation of an OC-2, I'm just amazed at all the versatility these things have, but I'm still in the honeymoon phase so take all this with a grain of salt . . . ;)

I do believe at this point if mine broke, was lost or stolen, I would definitely replace it and I'm not like that about a lot of pedals that I've had.

Can you demo one? That's your best bet.

I have both, and tho you could get in the ballpark I don't think you could really get that sound with the Sub n Up. The Octamizer has a very organic sound; the Sub n Up is much more synthetic, akin to a POG. Great tracking, but it doesn't have that organic tone and flavor. The Sub n Up is sterile in comparison. Great at what it does (particularly the polyphonic), just a total different beast from the Octamizer.

Please help.
I got the sub n up before this weekend.
When i turn on, the volume drops to almost zero. Bypass it is normal. I tried different power but still doesn't work. It's like volume goes from 6 and down to 1.
I can hear it but very very low. I have tried different settings with the knobs, but nothing helps. Anyone ?

What are your knob settings when this happens?
