Subdecay Prometheus IS OUT!!

Ordered. Luckily one of my guitarists expressed interest in the robotalk, so maybe this will work out after all!

If you ordered the bass version of the Robotalk, it may not. Even though it cuts lows (I have mine in the loop of a blender) the Bass Robotalk didn't seem to play nice with guitars. At least my guitar player had real trouble getting it to trigger with his Les Paul. Personally I love the Xotic, but I can see why others wouldn't. It isn't what I'd call a warm or "fat" filter. It's very aggressive sounding, but I dig it a lot. And

As for the Prometheus, I'm definitely interested to hear clips, but I'm not real hopeful. Subdecay makes high quality stuff, no doubt, but so far none of their pedals have been for me. The Flying Tomato was too nasally, the Quasar was too subtle and not as versatile as I expected and the Noise Box - well the Noise Box was super cool but I just couldn't find a use for it. It certainly looks to have a bunch of cool features, so I'd like to be wrong, but we'll see.

To be fair, I haven't tried and Echo Box and it looks (and from the ProGuitarShop demo also sounds) awesome, but I ordered an Empress (tap tempo, 12 second looping, programmable presets) so I likely won't be trying one anytime soon. Well, unless my guitar player gets one. :bassist:

Not to derail things, but speaking of Empress, I got an email today that they also have a filter coming out sometime this year as well as a parametric EQ.

I ordered mine it should be sent out today/tomorrow and I'll have it within 10 days I would think.

Proguitarshop is the only place to have these instock Brian dropped them off personally yesterday to make up for the slow delivery of the Echobox's a few month ago, so if you want one asap go there but they should be in all the usual retailers within the month.

There's a gain knob inside the Quasar to help that problem :]

And the Echobox is all i'll ever need in a delay.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the gain knob does not affect the effect level but simply corrects output volume to avoid any volume drops or boosts when the pedal is engaged. So I'm not sure that would have helped. Besides, I've come to realize that I want/need more than 4 stages on a phaser.

I definitely do want to hear clips of the Prometheus though.

Do you know if there will be a UK retailer later on? Saying that; a month is a long time... Just ruddy customs charges
