<subjective question> about <brand> for <specific purpose>

Threads like these will be found in the buried wreckage centuries from now. No explanation as to why our population failed will be needed afterwards.

My Sire sounds better than your sadowsky. Tubes sound better than SS and you're a metrosexual hipster if you don't carry a 100 pound tube head to your coffee shop gig. Next week all hipsters will need to carry tube heads to uphold their street cred.

I didn't read all the responses, but you don't need to spend thousands of dollars on a good bass. A squier is just as good. Just be sure to put a tort pickguard on it, a badass Bridge, a set of Geezers, Schaller straplocks, and Hipshot Ultra lite tuners. Then slap on some TI flats.

Well, all I have to say is <not-so-witty and very unhelpful response to OP's question that makes me feel cool posting on TB when I would actually be gigging if I were half as cool as I think I am*>.

Also <unhelpful comment questioning the OP's taste in music>.

*I am actually guilty of this

Flip to page 24 of the current Bass Player magazine. Whatever is on that page, you need one of those. Buy from MF. Then, go to the Sweetwater catalog, open a random page. Buy the highest priced item on that page.

The nice thing is this can all be accomplished using a smartphone while sitting on the hopper!
