Unable to Duplicate Subscriptions and Notifications

Having some trouble with my subscription to the Roscoe Club being "dropped" (three times).

Also, notifications are sporadic at best. I decided to look at the Roscoe Club thread this morning (even though I'd not received any notifications), and found two pages of postings. This has also happened more than once.

How did you find that you weren't watching the thread any longer? Did the link at the top of the thread say "watch thread" as if you weren't watching it, instead of "unwatch thread"? Just trying to get a picture.

When I noticed no activity on the Roscoe Club thread (no notifications) for several days, I navigated to the thread and found many new posts (>20). I'll try to note the link status in the future. But in any case, I've seen this happen before.

Note that if you get an alert for the thread and you never go TO the thread to read it, you won't get any more alerts no matter how many posts there are.

I'm having similar problems, mostly with the Song Uno thread; days can go by without an email notice of thread activity. Only when I search the thread out, and find that I've missed a few days' worth of posts, will the on-page alert show activity. The email notify system usually won't show anything.

And with respect...I do know that only one notice is usually sent out and that more posts could have happened, etc. I don't always get the one.

So...... If I receive two alerts for the same thread, and I use one of them to navigate to the thread and read all the posts. Do I have to go back and exercise the other alert in order to continue receiving future alerts ?

No. As long as you navigate to the thread, you should get another alert when there's new activity.

You mention email notices being lost - I'm assuming you don't get any alerts on the site either?

It actually kinda varies, broadly speaking...I may get email notices for some threads I'm in, and/but when I get here I may find other alerts for different threads from the thingy top-right of each page. About the only consistency is that Song Uno usually goes missing in general.
