Subscriptions frequently not working for me

I am just getting around to reporting this, but, since we migrated to the new forum, thread subscriptions only work a small portion of the time for me. I usually choose with email. Maybe 30% of the time, I get an alert or email. The majority of the time it is missed.

It's a shame, because I am a frequent contributor to several threads, and I'm now missing more than I am getting to read in those threads.

Is there anything for me to investigate/change to fix this? Thank you.

Please be aware that, if you get alert for Thread A and never actually visit the thread (ie if you just read the alert email), you will NOT get any more alerts for that thread. You have to actually visit the thread... Could this be the issue?

I don't that's the case in my case.

But, to just to be sure I am understanding you correctly: if I receive email for a thread and I don't respond by viewing that response at the forum, I am then Unsubscribed from that thread?

Regardless, that can't explain it all for me. I'm only seeing a small portion of posts. I am even unsubscribing and re-subscribing to see if that will solve it, and I am often coming across new posts to subscribed threads only by looking globally at New Posts.

No you aren't unsubscribed if you don't view the thread - you just won't receive any new notifications until you do visit the thread. This is to prevent folks from getting 50 emails/alerts at a time.
