JimmyJohn's is way better. 
The Subway's around here will get you sick. They had an issue with their lettuce awhile back and I managed to ingest most of it, (I was going there everyday for lunch) and I wanted to die. Horrible quality control IMO. Their bread is about the only thing that's good.
At least at JimmyJohn's they'll give you free smells.

hahaha i love Jimmy Johns. Ever since I came down to Virginia Tech and discovered its greatness, I always eat there instead of subway now if i want a sandwich. JJ's is cheaper too for the most part.
We don't have JimmyJohn's. But we do have Sobik's, which is truly excellent and a far cut above both Blimpie and Subway. I thought we were talking about national chains.

The bread is by far the best part. I like it simple - turkey/steak with lettuce, tomato, and mayo/southwestern sauce. I've eaten Subway as many as 3 to 4 times a week last semester. Now, I'm packing my own sandwiches to save money and whatnot, but tuesday's my designated Subway day.
I love The Subway Melt; ham, turkey, bacon, cheese and lettuce. on a nice big 12"'er
although, there is a Croisaant a la Crepe or something like that who make AWESOME cheese, bacon and lettuce bagettes! more bacon than a subway. cheaper too... mmm bacon.

Youre not missing out on much. Only decent chain around here is maybe Hardee's, and Im not even completely sold on them. Unless Jersey Mikes is a chain? I love their sandwiches. A 14" with turkey, bacon, provalone, mayo, mustard, lettuce, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper. Yummy
