Subway

I'm chowin' down on some Subway right now. Foot-long roast beef with lettuce, onions, green peppers and spicy mustard. Mighty satisfyin'.

They used to be really good over here.. Then when the company started to grow, the bread got thinner/less fluffy, cookies flatter and smaller and most salads etc arn't fresh alot of the time.

Still a descent meal though.

Anyone try their chicken parm yet?

I usually go for a 12" meatball with provalone and a bag of chips.

Otherwise, I mix it up with a 6" meatball and 6" Italian, no onions or tomatoes.

Unless Jersey Mikes is a chain? I love their sandwiches. A 14" with turkey, bacon, provalone, mayo, mustard, lettuce, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper. Yummy

You betcha Jersey Mike's is indeed a chain, started right in my own town of Point Pleasant NJ ....... There are a load of them here in NJ, but they're really starting to branch out now, even as far out as Denver ....... If you're lucky, they might have pork roll (aka Taylor Ham) egg and cheese sandwiches for breakfast, a BIG TIME NJ favorite ........

Quizno's is too expensive for what you get. I don't like putting my sandwiches on layaway.

For hot subs, it's Potbellie's or nothin'.

For cold subs, Blimpie's all the way.

Subway is about the only fast food place I eat at anymore. Quiznos is too expensive, and we don't have any other sandwich places around here. I've sworn off of burger joints. Except Dick's Drive-In in Seattle on Broadway. That place is priceless, just for the innuendo possibilities.

Subway's meatball subs blow choad. The meatballs taste just like the ones that come in Spaghettios. I like REAL meatball subs from pizza places, etc. Subways low cal stuff is decent...turkey, etc.

This ill advised action calls for a total boycott of Subway by all TB members. In fact we should all protest on Sidewalks in front of Subway with our "free Mike Money" T-shirts on. They should have known better then to oppress the most vocal of all minorities (Bass Players). All of this needless heartbreak because their trying to put down the man with the accusation of stealing lettuce!

At ours, you should probably bring a good book if you're eating inside or at in the drivethrough..

If you're inside, bring some OFF because they now have open garabage containers and it's horrid.

It generally takes at least 10 minutes to go throught the drive through.

The food is generally very poor. And sloppily put together.

I'm not happy with Hardee's at all right now.

I used to work at subway.

If it paid more, and I did hadn't been working with low-life losers, it would have been a great job.

I stayed well fed....and ate healthy.

And make some killer MASSIVE sandwhiches....some of which weren't so healthy.....

But I would like to thank a couple of those guys I worked with. They really put my butt in gear.

After working with them I promised myself no matter what I did, I would never be a 40+ year old man working in fast food.


Some of em were nice guys though...they'd just made some poor life decisions.

Oh ya, Hardees is a disaster. Ours closed a year or so ago. On the rare occasion I'd go through the drive thru, I'd always finish my order with "sans salmonella". I don't think any of the morons working there ever caught it.
