I read another one of these posts here that say something like this: (not a direct quote)

"I wanted to keep that P-Bass sound so I put a Gotoh/BAII high-mass bridge on it ---and --- and ---"

I see an oxymoron there:::

P-Bass tone + A high mass bridge.​

Please tell me how that works?

Ok, so why is something like that worth making a thread over? IMHO its nearly as annoying to sift through worthless threads as it is to read the stupid things people say....

What's wrong with high mass bridges?

I don't know. They seem ok to me. makes no difference to the sound in the mix of music. Like anybody in the audience give a rats a**.

I think Ps and Js make great platforms for tweaking and dressing up.

The only things that imo separate the moron from the oxy was that fad a while back making new instruments look beat up and old. A little too Martha Stewart for me.

But mark me as defensive cuz I just picked up a heavy bridge to replace an old little one.
