My bass has been in the shop for the last week (Having some trouble with my bridge pickup) and it shoould be back in the next week or two. I'm dying. :crying: this past week has been terrible at my band practice i had to use my friends crappy bass. has this ever happen to you guys? Any advice on how to survive this......PLEASE?!!?!?!

Happy Easter..

I get you.

Even though I'm lucky enough to have 8 basses at the moment, I'm still trapped right now in a hospital with my daughter for the next few days, 2000 miles from my basses.

And I have a brand new Sadowsky Will Lee sitting in my house. :crying:

Right now, I'd be thrilled to have an SX or even a Rogue here with me.

oh man i know how that feels. i myself am in between basses at the moment. i just sold my Stingray and itll be a few weeks before i have the extra cash for the Ibanez im lusting after. but untill then my friend said he'd loan me his American Deluxe P-bass to have something to play till my new bass arrives. :D

loaner basses ftw!

I have 6 basses. I do not sell old basses. I did once, and very much regretted it, even though it was a piece of crap Hondo II. A bass is a bass is a bass. Always have two. You never know when a spare will come in handy, and if bass is what you do it is not wasteful to have more than one.

Yeah - I never sell or trade any of my stuff either. Ya never know when you might want to try to resurrect an old bass that you've stuck in the closet and try to make it a front-line instrument again.
Although at the present this is NOT your situation - I find that in retirement and playing bass again after almost a half century, that I am re-thrilled and feel younger and more vital with something great to do - make music with and generally feel the creative juices flowing again.
Here's an old guy telling you a truth: 1) don't get old and 2) never lose/sell/trade your music makers. Oh - and 3) don't lose your calluses. See how many of those points you can obey.

Always have a back-up and keep it waxed and ready to play. You wouldn't be in this predicament.

Oh the pain!

We need another support group for Bass Separation Anxiety

If the town you are in is large enough or lucky enough to have a friendly local shop, sometimes you can rent instruments for a few days.

BTW, post a review of that Will Lee when you finally get your hands on it.
