Suggest an overdrive for flats on a P?

I must say that the cheap, little, plastic Danelectro FAB overdrive is one of my favourites. I took it off my board for a while, but found myself missing it. The tone control allows you to avoid the low end loss, and it has a blue LED!!!! A little tone suck when off, though.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but I'm definitely in the under $100 range. How is the Boss ODB-3 with flats? I've got a line on one for 25 bucks. Also, I'm running it through a GK MB115 if that helps. Once again, thanks so much!

If you take the time to learn how to adjust this pedal, it's actually nice sounding with flats. I like to use 1/3 dirty 2/3 clean, boost the lows, tame the highs and keep the distortion fairly low. With a 15" that should sound pretty nice. At that price point you don't have much to lose, you' will recoup your money if this does not work. I like the ODB-3 in front of an SVT this is where it sounds the best IMHO. Many people bash this pedal for its sizzling highs but it's actualy a pretty nice pedal.

Many are fans of this pedal, but I found it very "artificial" sounding. I dunno how to describe it really, but, no, not a fan. Has eq, so u can use it clean/boost etc.

I really dig the Pork Loin as some here have already suggested, but lately I'm also really digging the Xotic Bass BB Preamp as an OD. I've only played through a digital model of it on my Zoom B3, but I can only imagine the actual unit sounds even better. If I didn't need another dirt pedal like I needed a hole in my head, I'd be picking up one ASAP.
