Suggested 5 string for short fingers

Hi
I am looking into a 5 string to go with my Sandberg Ken Taylor. Won't be able to spend nearly as much on the 5 string though. Have been looking secondhand as well as new with roughly £400 to spend. The ones i have looked into are:

Fernandes APB5
Rockbass corvette 5
OLP Tony Levin
Yamaha BB615
Spector Legend 5
Ibanez ATK305
Dean Sledgehammer 5
and a few others. Problem is I won't be able to try out all of these before buying as my local shop doesn't have many 5's in. As I haveshort stubby fingers I find the Sandberg neck perfect for me but I have heard that some of the basses on my list have fairly chunky necks e.g. Rockbass and Spector. Does anyone have any experience with any of these.

Hey Jonathon... I am in the same club having short stocky fingers and I have found that the Ibanez SR Series are the best for me.. they have a thin profile and narrow neck width an I can play with ease... and yes many that you have listed can be considered chunky compared the the Ibby SR basses...

I think the OLP would have a very comfy neck for short fingers. The Dean's string spacing is way too tight. As other's mentioned, the Warwick will have a chunky neck. The Ibanez SRs series is famous for having easy-to-play necks, but the ATK in particular has a wider neck, I think. And the Yamaha BB has full string spacing, so the neck is wide.

I own both an Ibanez SR and ATK series. The SR is a 5 string, incredibly fast and easy to play. I used to struggle with 5s before I got it. As for the ATK, that's a 4, but it's still pretty slim for a 4 string. I havn't been able to try a 5 string before, but I'm pretty sure they are the nearly the same as an SR.

Also, you might wanna check out some ESP/LTD. or whatever they are called nowadays. They have pretty slim necks.
