Hi, I currently own the most expensive SX Jazz bass on the Rondo site, and am wondering whether or not I should switch the pickups.

I play in an 80s style band, and am wondering if I should switch one of the pickups for a precision, if possible. (I'm unintelligble when it comes to pickup compatibility, and am wondering if this would be a good idea).

Anyway, if it's possible, could I get a recommendation for what kind of precision pickup?

MHO Save your pickup $ and wait until you can purchase a better bass.

Sticking a p pickup into a jazz bass means routing out a space for it. That means a fair amount of luthier time unless you're a total woodworking pro. This sounds like it'll cost more than the bass.

I'd save up your gigging $ until you can afford a new bass. A good PJ won't do you wrong.

If you mean this one (Link Removed), the pickups are one of the best features on this particular bass, IMO.

Like everyone is saying, I'd save your $$$ (enjoy that Jazz of yours) and pick up a PJ in the future.

I do love the Jazz pickups in this thing. Hm, alright then, I'll just pick up a PJ in the future.
