Hi, I currently own the most expensive SX Jazz bass on the Rondo site, and am wondering whether or not I should switch the pickups.

I play in an 80s style band, and am wondering if I should switch one of the pickups for a precision, if possible. (I'm unintelligble when it comes to pickup compatibility, and am wondering if this would be a good idea).

Anyway, if it's possible, could I get a recommendation for what kind of precision pickup?

MHO Save your pickup $ and wait until you can purchase a better bass.

  3. Sticking a p pickup into a jazz bass means routing out a space for it. That means a fair amount of luthier time unless you're a total woodworking pro. This sounds like it'll cost more than the bass.

I'd save up your gigging $ until you can afford a new bass. A good PJ won't do you wrong.

If you mean this one (http://www.rondomusic.com/sjb-75ltdna.html), the pickups are one of the best features on this particular bass, IMO.

Like everyone is saying, I'd save your $$$ (enjoy that Jazz of yours) and pick up a PJ in the future.

I do love the Jazz pickups in this thing. Hm, alright then, I'll just pick up a PJ in the future.
