... ... It worked wonderfully for me this week, live with a 10-piece big band. I tweaked the Lo Mid up some is all. Using that setup, I can confine my SG Bass w/ Precision Flats to the bridge PU, and blend in just a hint of neck PU for more bottom. "Hey guys, do I sound like James Jamerson?" "Like who?"

Genzler Magellan 350 combo. $1,300. If you're not gigging in a loud band, 175 watts and a 10" bass array should be fine. You can always add a 12 or 15 later for the full 350.
