Hello fellow tber!
Over the past 3 years, I haven’t been lucky. I bought 3 basses and all had a problem.
The first one was a custom p-bass, it was awesome but it had many dead spots
The second one was a fender professional p-bass, the neck had the famous ski jump ramp at the end, even with the truss rod tighten to its max it was still bowed and action was too high for my taste. I wanted to send it back to fender but 2 fender service center told me it was within fender’s tolerance.
I bought an amazing classic 60’s lacquer jazz bass. The neck was also not playable past the 12th fret but supposedly again within Fender’s tolerance.
I’m not here to bash Fender,
do you know any brand that offers a bass with jazz pickups and a non-offset body?
I tend to prefer precision type of bodies and 60’s jazz pickups
I have easy access to Ibanez, Yamaha and Fender but wanna go in a different direction.
Thanks for your help
