Double Bass Suggestions on cleaning soft case or cover

Any suggestions on cleaning the exterior of soft case or cover? I have a soft shell undercover case for my NSB electric upright, and it is starting to get some gig grime on the outside. Any ideas?

I wash my Mooridian in the machine with Nikwax every 5 years or so. Cleans it and gives it a little water repellance....

I was cautious of getting the padding wet, but I assume that Mooridian uses similar padding.

It's worked out fine for me. Do it when you have time to let it dry all the way. Seriously, like once every 5 years for me, not more often.
