Suggestions to have an "ampless" rig

Hi everybody! :]

Thanks for all the suggestions, it really helped me a lot to settle down my ideas.

I'll try to go for the Rumble 500 (more for the sake of having fun and more than enough power, as is gonna be a gift for myself aswell hahaha), since I live in a Central America country, music gear and that kind of stuff is harder and more expensive to get, so I'll try to see what I can get or bring it straight from USA.

Btw, the idea for the FRFR or "ampless" + Sansamp went more from the side of having too many articles read hahaha, but at the end I would spend the same money with the risk of not liking it.

Someone mentioned the flaw of the BOSS-GT1B of not having DI, and I agree, but besides that is a great and useful unit despite its age.

Again, thanks everybody and I will update you when the new amp arrives. :)

There has been some confusion in this thread and this is why:
What is generally understood when one uses the term 'ampless' is literally what it says on the box: No amp on stage. It is usually combined with in ear monitoring.

When you use a preamp pedal plus either a powered speaker or a poweramp and passive speaker (does not matter if it's FRFR or anything else), you're not going ampless.
You're just using a different configuration. That box that sits on stage and amplifies the bass sound - is an amp.

HI EVERYONE!

Rumble 500 finally arrived, played a little while at home and I'm ASTONISHED for how loud it is event with the master BARELY at 7-8 o'clock

Thanks for the advice!

This is probably the best advice you'll get. Going amp-less is a gamble if you don't have your own PA or consistently play large stages with ample FOH support.

Bring an amp just in case the PA is subpar. But also have an amp-less rig.
