Suhr Koji Compressor

I recently got a Suhr Koji comp and it is really good, but I haven’t seen much or any comments around here, no love for Koji comp? thoughts? comments?

What circuit's it based on?

Opto, VCA, OTA, FET?

I couldn't find much info about it other than it's "analog".

That bodes well, but I'm still curious about what makes this thing tick, or should I say schlick.

Suhr kinda died for me when I compared the Riot Distortion with the corresponding Joyo Pedal. I just don't trust 'em with really delivering what we bass players need, because the requirements we bassists have for a compressor are way higher than what guitar players have. They don't even mention bass at all. Additionally their unwillingness to tell what's going on takes the same line as I suspect a cheap pedal behind it.

For me a compressor needs:
- In/Output meters
- Blend
- Treatment possibility to prevent the pedal from compressing too much when a low B hits with way more energy (LPF, Sidechain etc.)

This makes this pedal quite uninteresting. As always YMMV.

It behaves like the one that usually comes behind the 1176 (transient peak levelling, fast).
