Super cheapo bass collection

Here is a pic of my bass collection. None of the basses pictured cost more than $200. In fact, the First Act was $40! I have hot rodded all of them, built as "sleepers": with upgraded American made electronics, new wiring and upgraded pickups. All are set up well, and play pretty decently. I have a great time finding these crazy cheapo basses, and tuning them up. I just LOVE the looks on people's faces when I start cranking on one of these, esp the First Act.

The tele bass is sweet! I used to have an sx that I fixed up and I loved explaining how it only cost me $180. Because of that bass I always ask myself "Does this bass sound like it costs?" It really changed my perspective when buying new instruments.

I guess I should have added what they cost:

laying down: Epiphone ET-280 $160, and a Mansfield "Telecaster" bass $65.

each one was pretty much a steal

You got a great deal on the CV 50s. I put an SD rail in mine and I'm rockin' it in one of the best country bands in town.

P.S. If you want to add a couple more cheapos to your collection, I've got some things you might like.
