  2. That's a nice one. My Squier is keeping me 5 string happy right now. :bassist: I don't know if I could go back to 18mm spacing either

SPECTACULAR!! That's the best TL-5 I've ever seen!
  4. There is a really nice one going for $350 in the classifieds right now.

Looks new, and it is the early model with Super-Ferrite pickups and Dyna-Bass EQ. Oddly, the body wings look poorly matched; one is flamed heavily, and the other looks very plane jane.

Wonder what Tim is up to these days? Haven't heard that name in a while.
  7. That seems to happen often on them. It almost seems like the top wing is always figured and the bottom one is BLAH.

Are these basses just ridiculously bright sounding? My Poplar bodied Dyna-Bass 5 sounded great, but the brightness of it was the reason I let it go. I can't imagine all that maple can be tamed when you're dealing with a fairly hot/bright pickup/EQ configuration to begin with. These things probably sound the business for slap and funk!

That is just beautiful. It look like the mismatch of the wings is intentional(?)
