Super newbie question on P and Jazz basses

Just started practicing and learning the bass at a very old age but had a question..I know P bass and Jazz bass are Fender's but are there other companies that make these style of basses and if so how can you tell which models would be similar to Jazz and P models? Thanks in advance and very much appreciated!

Many Fender clones out there...
Generally, it's all about the pickups & necks.

P-bass: Single split pickup, wider neck

Jazz: 2 pickups (one at the bridge, one at the neck), slimmer neck.

i have a p bass special with jazz pickup and neck . it is the best of both worlds
