Surf Green P-Bass with Maple Neck?

Here's my 57 RI from Japan.

That, is a thing 'o' beauty right there!

Seafoam and Surf are actually pretty different...

Seafoam: darker, deeper, more blue (like the '57 above)

Surf: lighter, more pastel colour with more yellow (close to sonic blue kinda)
Like the Nash above.

Actually Surf Green has less yellow and blue making it a much softer tone. Sea foam has much more yellow (to warm it up) and blue and (believe it or not) more red to deepen the green.

After 20+ years in color separation! I know my percentages.

Here's my parts P build. It wears a pearloid PG and a control plate now, but this is the best picture I have of it:

The neck is a mightymite maple J neck.

Parts builds are super easy and way cheaper than fender prices. I like my P a lot more than anything fender offers stock.

At last here it is, an American vintage reissue 57 P in surf green !
Mine is from 95 or 96, I just remember buying it in 97, and as the year is put on the butt end of the neck I don't see it often...

And as you can see the real surf green is not blueish at all ...
