Well, wife gave me this for our 29th anniversary. Never owned a fretless or cared for flats.....but this is sweet. Plays and sounds very nice.
Anyone know what flats these come with? I am assuming Fender.
Yes, i caught myself playing up and down the neck checking for fret buzz........
I guess this completes my Leo collection, though wasnt really trying.

I don't play fretless (yet)... but all fretless basses are cool. And that one's really pretty, especially for a Fender, so congrats and enjoy!

Those are Fenders. Aqua silks, multi colored balls.

They're stainless flats. They're one of the few flats that I care for. But alas, they only ever last a couple weeks with me before I rip them off for my elixir nickel rounds. I can never manage to get past the break in point on any flats. But these, make it a couple weeks.

Cool! I have the G&L version of this bass.
Almost identical except for the headstock.

Thanks. Not sure if i will swap out the strings yet. Will play it awhile and see how it goes.

I have Fender 9050 CLs on two basses, but black tapewounds on nine.
I'd recommend GHS.

Yeah, they look like Fender flats to me also. I recently bought a bass with Fender flats and they look like yours.

I've never cared for the Fender flats when they're new. They're a lot like Chromes in my opinion. Way too

bright at first. But after they get old they sound great.

I agree 100%. I love the LaBellas but bought a set of the Fender’s for a new bass and the brightness really, really turned me off. They’re growing on me but overall I don’t know if I’d try them again.

A lot of people on TB seem to think TI flats are the bomb. I've never used them because they are mighty expensive.

I agree 100%. I love the LaBellas but bought a set of the Fender’s for a new bass and the brightness really, really turned me off. They’re growing on me but overall I don’t know if I’d try them again.

I said I'd never buy them again also (and I haven't). But the ones that were already on the Warwick I bought were already old. I fully expected to put LaBella's on it the day I received it, but was pleasantly surprised with the Fenders. But only because they're old. If you can stand waiting for the Fenders to lose that brightness, they'll be good.

I like my flats to sound like flats immediately. That's why I no longer buy the Chromes or the Fender flats. LaBella's, DR Legends, or GHS Precision Flats for me...

LOVE fretless! Have a unlined fretless '77 Gibson Ripper! Ebony board

One thing you might consider: I put some Chrome flats on it and it was just too dang thumpy.
I was using a lot of strength pulling some attack out of 'em which slowed down speed a little.
I compromised and put on some D'addario Halfies on it and that helped a lot!

Am babysitting a Warwick Corvette Standard for a friend and it has rounds on it which certainly has a cool sound of its own.
Doesn't seem to be tearing up the ebony board at all.
