Surprised at the bassist for Ghost (B.C.)

Hey everyone,

So tonight was a standard night. I played Infestissumam and Opus Eponymous from start to end while I did my homework, as I normally do. But I only just realised how awesome the bassist for this band is! His bass lines fit the music perfectly and he has a cool tone too (plus his bass is sexy ;) )!!! Seriously, check out any song by Ghost and you'll see why I've posted this...

I like him a lot too. I had both of their albums playing in headphones while I painted my house last August. It was the first time I really noticed what a great tone he's got. The whole band is cool; no one really "over-plays" and everybody is really song minded. No huge egos happening.

I completely agree!! IMO he rocks that P like there's no tomorrow. I too noticed that no-one overplays. I believe that, in an interview, a Nameless Ghoul said that they compose their music while playing acoustic guitars so the guitar sound doesn't over-power the rest of the band :D

Haha the first song I heard by them (aside from deus culpa) was also Con Clavi Con Dio. I was in awe!!! Btw, who else thinks their second album is better than their first? I think, musically, its much more varied, meaning its more enjoyable to listen to. I really liked the pop-metal blend in the second album :whistle::whistle:

I literally just had this realisation as well (so sorry to revive your old thread haha)

I saw Ghost live a few years ago, all in all one of the best and tightest live bands, not to mention very entertaining. The outfits leave a sense of mystique and general creepiness when combined with the music style.

I played guitar then though not bass when I saw them live and first heard them, so I never really took much notice of the bassist, I just knew it was good, and today I put on Infestissumam for the first time since I started playing bass and three songs in I decided that I needed to know who their bassist it (yeah, good luck with that you're probably thinking) so I came across this thread.

He really writes perfectly fitting basslines, and to think I never noticed before. Shame on me. .

I've been looking into his playing a fair bit...this guys lines are friggin amazing, I'm pretty sure I know who the drummer is, but have not found any reference to the bass players identity? any one know who he is? Id love to check out some of his other work.
Its great to hear someone play within the music in ways that surprise me....
