Hey guys,

Hopefully this will be the last time you'll ever see me post a poll on here again, but here goes..

Once again, as part of my Year 12 Design and Technology HSC Major Design Project, im creating an online bass guitar magazine, and I need your opinion on whether you would actually buy it or not.

It would be a magazine that you access via a CD or over the internet, and would include sound samples of effects pedals and basses, pictures, reviews, various articles on bass playing techniques and styles, competitions (with prizes of course!) etc etc etc..

Keep in mind that I wont actually be selling it, but we have to pretend we are as part of the project.

Thanks!

It's a cool idea.
However, there's so much info already available for free, and so much established for cost (e.g. Bass Player magazine) that it would be hard for a new one to get my interest enough to make me pay to try it out.

Another Magazine? As long as you limit Les, Victor, Stanley to one issue a year. The current paper bass magazine can barely but out two issues a year that hold interest. In the last two years, The Peter Cetera, John Paul Jones and Chris Wood issues were the only three worth the ink. Now, that's my opinion.
If you do launch this project, try to get Lakland to be a major contributor to the editorial.

I WOULD pay for it if it was an in-depth resource that was constantly updated like a subscription service (for a low fee) and every month a bunch of new stuff was added. If it was archived well and you kept expanding content you could have the greatest resource for any musician. Imagine if you had bass player/guitar and every single issue at your fingertips :o that would be amazing.

That would pretty much be the aim of it, if it was actually to be a real thing..

Another way could be kind of like talkbass, where people can choose to donate and gain access to certain features perhaps?
