last summer I got a Lancome makeup bag from Goodwill, and it fits my pedalboard, cables, strings, etc just perfectly!
It cost me $4 I think.

years and years ago, I took an old combo amp that was broken, took out all the inside, put in some stryrofoam insulator stuff, threw some hinges on the top, and made myself a combo amp ice chest.

I took it to gigs and put it next to my amp and handed out beers to the band between songs. Of course I was very discreet.

But some folks told me I should have patented the thing and sold millions.

Maybe I should have !

I even put a battery powered light so when I turned it on it looked like a real amp.

I even had a sound guy or two actually mic it up!

I did the survey, but didn't answer the last question because I too am very well organized and very compact with a sub-short scale bass and either a very compact battery operated Phil Jones Double Four I use for small gigs, and a very compact and light 15" combo amp for larger gigs, with an extension 15" box for even larger gigs. I load them into an old lady shopping cart that doubles as a music stand and instrument hanger with the amp right in front of me. Super fast roll on stage, roll off.

I remember seeing Tal Farlow years ago at a local club. He in walked in carrying his guitar and a stool. The stool had his amp mounted inside.

I am in a 3 piece band but I play bass and keyboards and we gig a lot at smaller venues with small stages, so I am very interested in what you are working on.
