Survey for working bass teachers

Hey everyone! I'm moving back to the USA from Tokyo this year and planning on putting together my own bass program for beginner/intermediate students.

How about a survey for potential students? Now, there's an idea

I'd really like to find a teacher who is:

a) professional (sticks to the material, doesn't impose his personal opinion onto me, and doesn't try to hit on me!)

b) a certain level of organisation,e g, a sequence, rather than random, unrelated material (in other words, teach me major scales before we move on to soloing or improvisation )

I also like to see teachers referring to material or music theory textbooks, rather than taking the uber-cool 'open ended' approach which many of them seem to champion. A true music professional should teach you what he / she already knows, and in a way that he / she learned.
