Suspended from school?

Once, 3 day suspension, fighting. I was in a lot of fights, never started them but finished all of them, and only got suspended for that one because there weren't any witnesses to back up my claim that I was just defending myself.
Once I actually had the following conversation with the vice principal:
VP: "What are you here for? Another fight?"
Me: "Yep."
VP: "Where's the other guy?"
Me: "In the bathroom, cleaning up. I think he broke his nose."
VP: "Did you start it?"
Me: "No."
VP: "Did you finish it?"
Me: "Yep."
VP: "Congratulations. If we had more kids stick up for themselves, we wouldn't have as many problems here. Here's a hall pass, get back to class."
Those were the days. Nowadays I'd have a rap sheet as long as my arm for sticking up for myself.

I got an in-school suspension for a week back in Jr, High once. It was in English class, and the teacher and I HATED each other, no exaggeration. Anyhoo, when she left class to go to the restroom one day, I noticed the computer was on. So being the little jerk-off that I am, I went on an accessed my class's grade sheet. Right then, she walked back into the room, and went BERSERK!! She was screaming bloody murder at me and running around. She then sent me to the office in hopes that I'd go to Mrs. Stone, the vice principal, who = nazi + satan. I would've been expelled for sure. LUCKILY she was out, and I went to the Dean instead, who is the definition of cheery old lady. Got in-school for a week. It was creepy, while in the detention room. the english teacher as pacing back and forth watching me for an hour.. eesh...

I've never been suspended myself, but I've seen kids suspended for "being involved in a fight". In other words, a bully beats the crap out of a harmless nerd who can't/doesn't fight back, and the victim gets suspended as well because of the vague/broad-reaching zero tolerance policy.:scowl:
That sounds like a story. ... I once had a boss who was pretty much insane... and he suspended me from doing my job for six months, but not from my job, so I still had to show up to work... I got paid to read books and surf the internet for half a year.

Longer story: I was taking a dump and got really, really bored, so I threw around a few rolls of toilet paper, and lit it, and wow did it burn!
then at that exact moment the vice principal stepped in.....
caught in the act.
pretty much dragged me down to the office, called my parents, and we had a nice long discussion on reasons to expel me.
man, that sucked bad.

Yep, 3 days. I gave the school bully a good ass-kicking. The counselors said it was about time somebody did. They really didn't want to suspend me, but said they had to for political reasons, blah blah blah. It was worth it.

It was great at first, but actually became fairly boring. I had called my boss a moron, because he screwed up the accounting by double-posting daily sales for a few months, and it was a reactionary suspension on his part... but he made it official and wrote it up and all. After a week, he realized he had made a mistake, and wanted me to go back to doing my job, as the work was starting to pile up, but I refused... I kept telling him I was suspended, and unavailable for job duties until after Christmas.
Nuthin' like a solid piece of hickory. I probably woulda ended up in jail for that today. The only way to deal with bullies is to fight dirtier than they do.
I was suspended for jumping a security guard. I pounced on him off campus while he was walking home.
Where do I start ?
My daughter holds the record , I believe. 9 times this year and I believe 14 last year. She had to finish last year at the alternative high school.
She is a wonderful kid . She is very intelligent and does not take crap from anyone . She knows how to argue and always stands up for those who are less fortunate and / or getting dogged by the "in clique". She has very good and admiral traits but she has to learn how , why , and when to use them.
She has been suspended for punching a boy who grabbed her boob , we did NOT punish her as to not teach her she needs to take sexual harassment. The school did not punish the boy , a football player during the season, saying only " boys will be boys" . When we pressed the issue they got funny .We did not pursue it in the end as my daughter taught him he was wrong.
She has also been suspended for , creating a disturbance , fighting ( punched an older boy for spitting in her face ), fighting again ( beating up the school bully , and no she herself is NOT a bully)saying the word vagina really loud , and all kinds of things along those lines.
Some are probably relevant , others where way out of proportion to the crime .
I asked about "in school suspension" and why she always got "out of school" suspension and they replied " yes we still have it but her offenses demanded out of school suspension"
They don't want to mess with these kids ! They do not want to instill discipline but rather demand it.They want perfect little robots who cause no trouble.

Dismantling the lock on the 6th yr common room (no more locking us out there

Suspended for never going to class. So as punishment they told me to stay home for 3 days (??!!). I had so many cuts my quarter report said 99 no shows. They still pushed me through the system.
Music and art classes = 0 skips or tardies. If the class was taught by a teacher who gave a crap I would go and do well. If they didn't want to be there, then neither did I.
I DO NOT recommend this tactic = play the game; it's sooo easy!
