Suspended from school?

Dropped out, or it wasn't part of the system yet? At my HS we only had 3 years, but now 1 year from Junior High got moved to HS, so it's 4.

I dropped out after my freshman year. Couldn't stand school, wanted to get out. So, I quit and got a job.

You want more irony? I got my GED three months after I quit. After working for ten years (in the music industry), I went to college. I now hold two Masters degrees, one in Education and another in Library and Information Science.

Ain't life strange?

Anyone here ever been suspended from school? High school specifically. And for what reason?

Let's hear some stories!

Funny this thread came up... So yes, my 8th grade was a hell raising year... When i got kicked out from school i still had 300+ detentions to go and only month of school left (I think total days suspended was around 30 plus community service and a nice ride in a police car for not showing up for it (it was raining, c`mon!))...

Reason it's funny is because last week me and my bro were going through old papers and we found a lot of letters from school when i was in 8th grade and about 10 pages of full report of my "bad behavior" for a month prior to me being expelled...

Here is ones that we got a kick out of. (besides the ones with 100s of spelling errors... )

1) "Called out to teacher "Yes sir"". We didn't get it at first, but it made sense after we read entire description in the report, still think she was a man.

2) "Came to class undressed."

3) Called a classmate "stupid jerk".

4) Called a teacher "stupid jerk".

5) Got in a fight with a teacher (He started it)

6) While being suspended for getting in a fight with a teacher came on-to campus and got in a fight with a principal... (I had to come to school due to pictures being taking (they told me to) and he came up to be yelling "think you are tough" and pushing me....... yeah...)

7) causing trouble in class

8) 10 minutes later "causing trouble in a bathroom"

9) 5 minutes later "causing trouble in the office, complained that if we let him ditch the whole thing, none of this would have happened".

10) Causing trouble in detention...

11) We are sure he will do something during the event so we decided to keep him out before he does something.

12) While running a mile was found in nearby bushes...

13) Ditched 4 out of 5 classes this week.

14) week later: Ditched 7 out of 10 classes, told the teacher he was improving.

There are so many more, but those are the ones i remember or ones i found in the file and my bro saved (probably so he can blackmail me later...)

PS Right after getting kicked out from school for my problems and my failing, went to school for "bad kids" finished high school with 3.8, so i wasn't as bad as report said i was. 8th grade sure was fun... Did absolutely nothing whole school year, got jumped few times but came out on-top then studied my arse off after getting kicked out and finished 8th grade no problem... :)

None of my fights were reported really, but like Diggler, never started them, came up on top. He makes a good point, when i was going to school, hell even a fight with a teacher was not reported (probably because he hit first and he doesn't remember much after that :D )

They also never found drugs, they looked hard in that bush... :D

2 days in the 2nd grade () for calling another kid a very inappropriate word.

3 days my senior year for pulling a prank on a girl, but that's another thread.

In 8th grade, there was a field trip that I declined respectfully to participate in. In return for my want to save money on a pointless activity, they punished myself and 2 other students by making us write 3 pages each on 3 careers of our choice. At the time, I was big into the stupid rebel b/s, so I wrote one page that looked pretty much like
Name: Drake Kennedy
You are a sadist. Please retire now and do us all a favor.
Got three days OSS for disrespect and insubordination. Was it worth it? Only because the assistant principal giggled when he read what I wrote. :D

This is probably my absolute favourite :D

I don't understand the level of disrespect students have towards teachers these days, though...

My only suspension was in 8th grade when I got in a fight with some dumbass in my PE class. I started it, but this kid had enough of a record that nobody thought I did.

My freshman year of high school I never got suspended but I had a lot of private detentions. It was always with my geometry teacher Mr. Moo. Once was for toilet papering his room. Also for turning everything in his room around ,and I mean everything. The clock, desks, tables, computer, printer. I also hid his overhead projector outside under his trailer and hid all of his chalk and markers. Another time was for drawing pentagrams on his chalk board and writing Hail Moo! What is strange is that now we are best of friends. He even got me a christmas present about bass my junior year. We talk music all the time and still talk even now I'm out of high school. Hail Moo!...the greatest teacher ever.

I am 100% literal and serious when I say this...

..Schools in my area are so far from being educational.

IE
Teacher: You have two months to read this book (less than 200 pages, grade 12 english class) and then write a test as well as a report on it.
Student: **** that, I wont do it, two months is not long enough for all that work. (Doing absolutely nothing else in the class).
Teacher: Well....we could take out the report and just have the test

Bicker bicker bicker for a few days, I had finished the book and turns out she discarded the entire portion of the class. Noone had to read the book or write a test or report at all, we just watched movies and played on computers for the 2 months.

I've literally seen people drinking booze in class and when the teacher says "put it away" they said "Go **** yourself or I'll just leave" and the teacher just does nothing most of the time.

One of my classes, the teacher got so much wining and complaining about the work (agriscience), that he let us spend 3 months doing the final exam as a class!!! AND NOONE DID IT. One of my friends did the work, and we ditched and photocopied it at Staples, crossed the name off the top and wrote our own. I got like 84% in that class, and EVERY piece of paper in my binder was 100% photocopied.

When I was like 6, a girl in my class tripped and fell on the floor in front of my desk. She stuck a pencil in her hand and it turned out it was mine. So the teacher got mad at me and got me suspended for the rest of the day for not picking up my pencil

Later when I was 14, I asked my spanish teacher if she could speak a little slower because I had difficulties understanding everything she was saying... She totally flipped out and started yelling at me for not studying and stuff like that and then sent me to the principal office.
I explained him everything and he told me I did the good and I was right, but that I would still need to write an apology letter to the teacher for my behavior...

So I went back to the classroom thinking I would do something to write about in my letter since I didn't do anything wrong yet... I kicked the door open and called the teacher a witch (she kind of looked like one actually :P) and then went straight home... I got kicked out for a week :D

I got in school suspsension for 2 days for not standing during the pledge of allegiance. I didn't stand that day because I was trying to focus on what I was studying when an assistant principal walked by. She came in yelling and screaming about standing for the pledge and how I absolutely had to stand because Texas has some law about it. So I decided to outsmart the teacher. I started quoting Supreme Court cases like Tinker v. Des Moines and West Virginia v. Barnette. I also told her that any law the state passed to make a flag salute compulsory would not be keeping with the inclusionary act of the constitution, which states all constitutional rights the federal government creates, must be followed by the state.

I was written up for insubordination cause I stood up for my rights...My government teacher was proud at least.

I also was written up once for messing around on the school servers. I made one text file that said "Whoever reads this is a big fat ninny" (words changed for TB). I never wrote a name or anything, but they traced it back to me and somehow its vandalism. Cyber-vandalism?

Never actually suspended... just lucky I guess!

Was on "double probation" my freshman year of college... one for academic (too busy partying to go to classes) and the other for...

...lighting strings of firecrackers and throwing them down the stairwell in our dorm. I was up on the 12th floor and dropping them down the window shafts to the stairwells below... at the 3rd floor there was a guy (I knew him... good dude... fun to party with) in a wheelchair playing his accoustic guitar (he did this often)... apparently, my first string of fireworks landed right behind him, startled him and his chair went down a flight of stairs!

I had to publically apologize to him (he & I had a good laugh about that afterwards over lots of Guiness Stouts) and I was on probation for the rest of my freshman year.

Oh well...

Let's see...

3 days for a fight with my best friend in a bathroom. Yeah. The Principal wouldn't even listen to our story, just sent us home. Lame.

A week for getting in a fight with some racist *******, who struck first. But of course, I finished it. :smug:

Well, you are Cain, after all...

...Everybody was kung fu fighting... ;) :p :D

OH! just remembered!

i didn't get suspended for this... but in 8th grade one of the class bullies we pissing me off, and we were in the locker rooms changing, and he did a 'Red Five" (slapped me on the back with my shirt off)... soooooooooooooo

i grabbed him with one arm by his shirt and held him up against the wall with his feet off the ground and my forearm on his neck. gave hime a few 'what-for's' and dropped him.

never touched me again, and i neer got picked on again!

Ummmm, one time my teacher pissed me off so I put a bottle of rum in his desk and told the officer I had seen it there...........yea he got fired(Doesnt have anything to do with suspensions, but its a funny HS story)

that. is. AWSOME!!!

I've almost gotten suspended a few times because people always frame me with porn. I dunno why its always me. So after that, whenever porn is thrown around school, they bring me into the office and the vice starts yelling at me because she "knows I did it". GAAAAHHH!!!!

i got a coupla days suspension in highschool for smoking a cigarette a block off campus. really lame.
in 8th grade i threw a desk and chair combo and destroyed a chalk board. i got sent home that day, but because i was on lots of prednisone i got off without punishment.
