Svt 210HE with svt210av?

Can these two cabinets be paired together and can anyone tell me if they've tried it and how it sounds? Will these 4 10s sound good together? Both are 8 ohms and 200watts? Or should I be looking for 2 of the same, whichever model that may be? Thanks!!

I'm one of those that thinks that, for bass guitar, it works out for the best when two identical cabinets are used. Cabs that share the same design, same drivers and voicing.

The only way to really know if the two different models of Ampeg 210 cabs will "suit your ears" when played together is to try them together.

Some combinations will sound great together for some players, and that same combination won't for other players.

What matters is what your ears tell you.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you! I've played guitar for years and always enjoyed playing bass but have been getting into playing bass a little more, and I'm pretty green when it comes to bass amplification. I have one SVT 210av, and it does sound pretty good, and I've been wanting to pair something with it. Thanks again for your help and information!

Since you already have and like Ampeg's 210AV cabinet my suggestion would be a second 210AV.

Adding a second 210AV you'll have a clearer, fuller lowend, better projection, and better power handling. By doubling the number of drivers you'll gain 3db volume. The 4 ohm load from having two 8 ohm 210AV's will give you the full wattage from your b2r.

You might watch in the T.B. Classifieds, used 210AV cabs become available from time to time at great prices.
