I mentioned in another Ampeg thread just a few mins ago that I ordered a single 112AV cab last week. I wanted to try it with one of my 212AV cabs as 3x12's w/V-4B head. While here at home, I ran the V-4B thru the single 112AV cab w/P5. It got fairly loud but I just feel the 212AV cab is something kinda special. So not sure two, 112AV's will sound as nice as a single 212AV. Haven't tried two, 112AV's so just speculating here.
The 112 is quite light, doesn't feel like the 45lbs they spec it at. Was kinda odd to me that the 112AV has a single handle on one side of cab only, but it works to lug this small cab around. I'm actually getting a new 112AV this week because the cab has no Velcro, just the grill does. So grill wont stay in place.
I have a couple weeks to return the 112AV I just received, so I will get a chance to listen to two, 112AVs soon. But prolly just at sorta, loudish, home alone volume. Hey, who knows, I may dig it. But the single, 212AV is not hard to move around. Two were, so I sent the other 212AV back today.
I've never tried the 410he cab; is that a sealed cab? I may be wrong but just from my impression of the single 112AV, I feel any 410 is gona be louder, lower than even two 112AV's. But you may not need that, I only use 5 stringers and the 212AV sounds awesome with my J5 and P5 +V-4B.
Now, I haven't gigged the 112AV yet. I planned to use the 112AV+212AV+V-4B at gig in a couple weeks to see if that works for me. Again, two, 112AV's are working for some folks here, some with PF800/500 amps, so may work for you as well. Seems now, I'll get to hear two 112AV's afterall. Keep us posted and good luck.
