SVT 400t help

i can get that for 800 dollars, is that good? i honestly don't know. i have been reading and i noticed that the SVT 400t might not be able to power the whole enclosure. should i sell the head and buy a more powerful one? please tell me what i should do. and a 8x10

That price is way to high, I'd say a 400T in excellent condition is worth somewhere around $300.
Here's a link to the (nation-wide) craigslist ads for the 400T model for some price comparisons:

(serveral ads are now expired, but some remaining titles include pricing)

If you got $800 to spend and dig Ampegs, your funds are right at the bargain range for purchasing the much better SVT-II or SVT-II pro models like these:

(I use and prefer the older non-pro model better if you can find one)
