svt-vr di problem

Have you got the DI set at pre or post EQ? I usually set mine pre EQ and have had no problems. I set the level at the first gig after I got the amp and have never had to adjust it since, although IIRC I did have to turn it up a bit initially. If it is set post EQ it could well be affected by your gain as well as tone settings.

Jimmy, the controls pretty much never change on this amp... I'm using channel 1, normal input, volume knob at about 10 o'clock, bass is set about 1 o'clock, mids 2 o'clock, treble noon. No "ultra" shaping going on. DI switch is set to "post". I'll try it in the "pre" setting at our show tonight and see what happens.

I think I should clarify a bit. When I said I have the output turned up all the way, I meant the DI output on the back with the slotted screwdriver head.

The DI on my VR is one of the best (read "easiest to use" ) I have come across

Everything worked fine at saturday's show. Post and pre switch gave me different flavours of awesome, as always. Hopefully the problem on Friday night was due to something in the house side of the signal chain. It was one of those road worn rigs relegated to permanent installation. I'm not using my svt again for a couple of weeks so I won't have another opportunity to check it before then.
