Does anyone have any experience with all 3 heads?

Ampeg 210AV
Aguilar DB210
Bergantino HS210

I'm looking to buy one of them. Not too sure which one I want. I'll be using it for recording and practicing, and it'll be paired up with an Ampeg SVT most likely. I'm looking for a good fat tubey sound. Let me know your opinions.

Well, I consider them cabs...but I only have experience with the 210AV. It is 8ohm, and I don't think you can run SVTs at 8 ohms. Even if you did, I bet you could toast the 200watt cab pretty quickly if you aren't careful.

I hadn't considered that fact about the SVT210AV. I should check on the Bergie as well to see if it's only available in 8 ohms as well...

Well, it appears the Aggie is only cab that can go down to 4 ohms. So it looks like that one will win by forfeit. Still, anyone like to comment on the tonal differences in these cabs?

Also, am I crazy for mating an SVT and a 210? Should I go for the DB212? I noticed when I demo'd the Aggie 210, those speakers really like to be pushed hard. They open up a little bit and sound better IMO.

you might be able to get a little more power into the berg and aggie, but it's not going to be by a whole lot. most 210's can only take 200-300w anyway, at least in real world usage. do i think you're crazy for wanting a 210 to use with the svt for recording and practice? only a little if you're going to nothing but clean sounds, it'll work. but i seriously doubt you'll find a 210 that will let you throttle it with a ripping svt that's pushing well over 300w. a v4b or b-15 is much better for using small cabs.

Exactly what I was thinking Jimmy. At this point I'm leaning towards grabbing the Aggie DB212. I really liked the tone of it when I pushed the speakers a bit. A V4B would be perfect for it IMO.
