swapping out speakers

Have you contacted Eminence to see if the impedance, compliance, enclosure volume and kind of venting are compatable to get similar efficiency and frequency response?

The short answer is, yes, it will physically fit, but if you want the same tone characteristics, contact Eminence directly.

What cab?

Avatar does that, though their cabs are sized and tuned in sort of a "middle ground" that'll work acceptably well with some different drivers though not optimized for any specific one.

Their OEM version of the deltalite is quite different from the stock version too.

Thanks guys. I know they will physically fit. I am talking about whether or not the tech. differences between the speakers (Xlim, Xmax etc, etc) will cause any "cosmic unknown" out of control farting out etc based on the construction of the cab. Porting etc. EG: Delta has a Xmax of 6.92mm and the NEO has a Xmax of 4mm. Obviously there are other tech differences that may or may not interfere with normal function of the original cabs. I guess I am looking for a "general" answer. I don't want to measure out all the dimensions of the cabs. Lazy I guess.

The purpose of this is to lighten the cabs.
